- ITINERARY -

Tuesday, April 20

Arriving at Stones of the Yarra Valley at 10am to coffee and sweet things, guests will be presented with their personalised Yarra Valley gift packs followed by an overview of the 2-day program.

The first session of the day will take place in the Stones of the Yarra Valley barn. Led by Executive Chef Dale Prentice,
the group will work together in preparing a sumptuous lunch to be enjoyed at Stones.

After lunch Dale (a qualified pastry chef) will present a workshop on preparing simple and delicious desserts and pastries. Guests will then wander up St Hubert’s Road to the Yarra Valley Dairy for a guided tour of their cheese-making facilities.

Following the visit to Yarra Valley Dairy guests will check into their accommodation at Yering Gorge Cottages, before being collected by luxury coach and taken to Domaine Chandon for a tour of the riddling room and an aperitif of sparkling wine in the famous Green Point Room.

The next stop will be the multi-award winning Healesville Hotel. Here guests will enjoy a three-course dinner to be accompanied by fine Yarra Valley wines, before returning via coach to Yering Gorge.

Wednesday, April 21

Day two begins with a superb autumnal breakfast on the lawn at Stones under our towering elm trees. All produce will be sourced exclusively from the Yarra Valley, and served with a morning glass of Yarra Burn bubbles.

Whilst day one focussed on the preparation of a lunch banquet and pastries, day 2 sees attention turn to the preparation of a remarkable 5-course banquet. Throughout the day Dale Prentice will once again guide guests through the preparation of each course, with local farmers and producers joining the group at regular intervals to present and discuss their specific produce.

At around 5pm guests will return to Yering Gorge Cottages to freshen up and then return for a canapé and wine tasting session presented by our evening sommelier Sean O’Brien from the outstanding Barrique wine store in Healesville.

Guests will then enjoy the banquet they have spent the day preparing, with entertainment provided by our resident string quartet, Amati. At the dinner guests will be able to invite friends and partners (at a nominal cost) to join them to share their “hard work” over the past two days.
