My name is Gina, and I am a trained chef with over 25 years of experience in the kitchen. 14 of which has been running Ladybird Cakes.
My approach to running ladybird cakes, is dare I say it quite relaxed, but I like to consider my business as a well oiled machine! I pride myself in creating cakes that have a lot of thought towards the production, stability and serveability at your event. I love to make a cake that looks beautiful, tastes great and at the same time know the Chefs will not have any issues in portioning it for the guests. Clients can relax knowing their cake will be there on time for their event.
I love working with natural elements like fruit and fresh flowers, having grown up in rural New Zealand, I believe this has helped create the style in which I work best in, which fits well within the natural styles of the Yarra Valley. Clean sculptural elements, handpainting or lush buttercream, I have an extensive range of skills when it comes to cake and creativity.
