Krista Corbett is the pastry chef and owner of Pollen Pastry, a Melbourne-based cake studio specialising in refined buttercream wedding cakes.
Krista spent her early years working in some of Melbourne’s best restaurants and pastry kitchens, before naturally transitioning to the world of custom cakes. What began as desserts for friends’ dinner parties evolved into a professional cake business, with the studio approaching 10 years in 2027.
With a culinary background, flavour sits at the forefront of Krista’s work.
She creates seasonal flavour profiles using premium ingredients and combinations designed to spark conversation around the table. Each component, from curds and creams to ganache and crunch, is made from scratch to bring balance, texture and interest to every bite.
Pollen’s design style is crisp and understated, working closely alongside the couple’s stylist, florist and venue to ensure every cake feels naturally connected to the overall aesthetic of the day. Her relationship with Stones of the Yarra Valley is seamless, with shared values centred around thoughtful service, attention to detail and creating weddings that feel calm, personal and beautifully considered.
